Client Criteria for the Pennsylvania Minority Business Enterprise Center (PA-MBEC)

Business must be a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) - A for-profit business in which at least 51% of the beneficial ownership, interest, and control are held by a minority or minorities. In the case of a corporation, minorities must hold at least 51% of voting interest.

Businesses should be generating annual revenues over $250,000 in order to qualify as an established client and receive one-on-one consulting and other established client services and benefits.

Business generating under $250,000 in annual revenue are considered emerging companies and must have a completed business plan with current financial statements, a business license, and must be screened through our application process. Emerging companies could qualify for group and industry-specific programming and other emerging client services. (If you have not started generating revenue with your business, we can assist you by referring you to our collaborative organizations that work directly with start-up businesses)
